The Ministry of National Education is implementing a series of measures aimed at promoting the responsible use of digital technology in schools. The stated objective is twofold: to build students' digital citizenship while protecting them from the potentially harmful effects of prolonged screen time, particularly among younger children.
Four areas of intervention
The system is based on four complementary components:
- Training students in the responsible use of digital tools, integrated into the curriculum.
- Right to disconnect : suspension of updates in the ENT (digital workspaces) and school life software in the evening (8pm-7am) and on weekends (Friday 8pm to Monday 7am).
- Generalization of the "Mobile phone pause" system , limiting the use of mobile phones in establishments.
- Supporting families through awareness campaigns and association with the approach of reasoned use.
These measures, updated in October 2025, are deployed by schools, colleges and high schools with the support of academic services.
